CENTRAL THEATER

The inauguration of the Central Theater in the EXPO of 92 meant for Seville and Andalusia the appearance of a space for the extension of the scenic horizon of our citizens, a magic box (a box inside another box) to accommodate spectators and artists in a type of unique space until that moment in our country.
From then until today, theater, dance, flamenco, jazz, contemporary music and circus has succeeded year after year in demonstrating that an enriching dialogue between tradition and modernity is possible.

CAIXA FORUM

CaixaForum Seville aims to be a space from which to contribute to the dissemination of the arts and the humanities; promote the debate on ideas, trends and research of today’s society, and encourage dialogue and reflection on major social transformations.
The building, designed by Sevillian architect Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra, through an ingenious system of skylights and an intelligent distribution of the environments allows light to be brought into the new space, achieving a pleasant balance between the introspection necessary for the exhibition halls and its connection with the unique atmosphere of the Andalusian capital.

UNICAJA FOUNDATION

The Unicaja Foundation Center of Seville occupies an old palace built between 1914 and 1916 by the famous Jerez-born architect Francisco Hernández-Rubio. It is a valuable example of Andalusian eclectic architecture with clear references to modernist aesthetics.
The building that houses the center has been recently rehabilitated according to the most demanding standards of heritage restoration. With a surface of more than 1,100 m2 of plot, the 680 m2 of built surface are divided into three floors that house a permanent exhibition room dedicated to the legacy of the Machado brothers, three temporary exhibition rooms and a multipurpose room with capacity for almost a hundred people. All these spaces will host different literary, musical and artistic activities. It is conceived as a space open to the public and that has an extensive program of cultural activities of interest, such as exhibitions, seminars, conferences and musical performances.
