Day Trip to Gibraltar from Seville
Discover the Rock of Gibraltar and all its charms
The day trip to Gibraltar begins in Seville, where your guide will pick you up at one of our meeting points to begin a unique adventure between Spain and the United Kingdom, right on the natural border between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. During the journey, which takes approximately two hours, you will cross much of the province of Cádiz, enjoying its fabulous cork oak forests and the picturesque white villages that characterise this region.
Once in Gibraltar and after crossing the border, you will begin a comprehensive panoramic tour known as the Rock Tour. You will enter the Gibraltar Nature Reserve, where you will make your first stop at the Pillars of Hercules viewpoint. From this iconic spot, located at the legendary ‘Cape of Europe’, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Strait and see the African coastline. The panoramic views from the Rock of Gibraltar, with the Spanish and Moroccan coasts in sight, are simply unforgettable.
You will continue the tour by entering the incredible Caves of St. Michael, a fascinating grotto full of geological formations such as stalactites and stalagmites. Further on, you will experience a unique moment when you encounter the famous monkeys of Gibraltar, the only apes living in the wild in Europe, protagonists of the well-known legend that claims that the British will not abandon the colony as long as they remain there.
After the tour, you will have free time to have lunch or explore the bustling pedestrian streets of the city. Very close to the famous Main Street is the busy shopping centre, ideal for enjoying tax-free shopping in Gibraltar, known for its excellent prices on jewellery, watches, electronics, spirits, cosmetics and perfumes, as well as numerous cafés and bars perfect for relaxing.
Once the visit and free time are over, your guide will accompany you back to the transport to begin the journey back to Seville, where you will arrive at approximately 7:00 pm after enjoying a magnificent day discovering ‘La Roca’ and its unique blend of Andalusian and British atmosphere.
