Guided tour of the Museum of Fine Arts
Guided tour of the Museum of Fine Arts
Through this guided tour of the Museum of Fine Arts of Seville with Turiguía, you will discover painting and sculpture through a selection of artworks that we will explore in depth during this 90-minute visit. Among the highlights is the work of the renowned Sevillian painter Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. During the tour, visitors will be introduced to the museum’s most famous masterpieces, including works by Murillo as well as other leading artists of Spanish and European painting, all brought together in this exceptional collection.
The Seville Museum of Fine Arts was a former convent of the Order of Mercy; it flourished in the 17th century and inside one can still see all the religious traces of those days, when he shared the city with Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer himself, whilst marvelling at its collection of paintings.
The Seville Museum of Fine Arts can boast of being the second most important public art gallery in Spain, after the Prado Museum in Madrid, and houses numerous masterpieces ranging from Romanesque art to the 20th century.
Visitors will be able to enjoy original works of Sevillian Baroque painting, featuring artists such as Zurbarán, Murillo and Valdés Leal, amongst others.
