Legends of Triana Tour

Thu - Sat
2h
Español, Inglés

Take a walking tour of one of Seville’s most iconic neighbourhoods

The origins of Triana date back to the founding of Seville by the Phoenician merchant Melkart, who would later be known as Hercules. Little did anyone know that Triana was destined to become one of Seville’s most famous neighbourhoods, thanks in part to its flamenco and pottery traditions.

On this circular route, Turiguía offers its visiting friends the chance to discover every corner of this picturesque neighbourhood. We will uncover anecdotes, events and historical sites in the neighbourhood of Triana. A neighbourhood divided into two parts: to the south, the old port, and to the north, the more industrial area. With its iconic Triana Bridge over the River Guadalquivir, Calle Pureza or San Jacinto.

Visitors will discover the Capillita del Carmen, the Triana market, San Jorge Castle, the Church of Santa Ana, the Casa de la Esperanza de Triana, and the old Cava de los Gitanos, the cradle of flamenco. A neighbourhood of stories and legends, of traditions and Holy Week.

We will stroll along the famous Calle Betis, from where we will see its famous bridge and discover other sites such as the Patio de Monipodio or the old University of Mareantes.
